Tilt 365 Weekly Challenge (Brave)

Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back — Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too...
— (Unknown)

In the space between Timid and Reckless, there is a moment of precise Clarity when one engages and says, "Yes! I will act decisively today!" One brave moment presents itself... when what I choose to act upon now, could ultimately direct my destiny in one direction... or another.

Bravery unfolds in inches, not miles.

TILT 365 WEEKLY CHALLENGE: This week, I will take one small action that commits me to my dream.

Avoiding Recklessness (Overuse):

Winston Churchill described a fundamental Tilt 365 principle when he wrote, "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to site down and listen." In other words, context determines whether action (or inaction) is brave, timid, or reckless.

To avoid recklessness, pause and reflect on implications before taking action: what my happen, who will be affected, etc. Don't think that bravery always requires taking action or ignoring risks.

Sometimes we all need to sit down and listen.

Commendable Trait: Brave
Underused: Timid
